DLC for Skyrim is finally coming to the PlayStation 3 nearly eight months after the first piece was released on Xbox 360. Bethesda announced that the 1.8 patch will be released in February followed by Dragonborn, Heathfire and then Dawnguard. There will be a 50% reduction in price for the first week each DLC goes on sale as way of an apology for the exceptional delay. Matt Grandstaff the Bethesda community manager said “because you guys have waited so long for this content, we wanted to offer them at a discounted price.” Bethesda have struggled with the PS3 conversion of Skyrim, when it was first released it had multiple bugs including the game-breaking “Rimlag” which caused the framerate to significantly fall. Since fixing it Bethesda have been public about their struggles with quality control for the PS3 DLC.
